Ronald McDonald House - Wauwatosa, WI

Original construction of this four-story complex, located near Children’s Hospital, occurred in 1984. Created as a home away from home, this facility supports short and long-term stays for families of children who are undergoing medical treatment at area hospitals. Peter Schwabe, Inc. was an integral part of the fundraising to make this first project possible.

A 16,000 square foot, four-story addition was built by Peter Schwabe, Inc. in 2003. The new wing included kitchen and computer rooms along with additional guest rooms to accommodate more families. Tile designs created by children are featured throughout the addition and add to the warmth of the individual spaces. An extensive remodel of the existing guest rooms was also completed in 2003.
